Can you help me count calories = weight burned?

If I burn 750 calories per week, how many weeks would it take me to lose 40lbs etc? Thanks!!
Answer:
1 pound is equivalent to 3500 calories, so if you burn 750 calories per week MORE than you consume then you would be losing a little less than 1 pound per month. that means it would take you about 3 years and 7 months to lose 40lbs.3500calories /750 calories per week = 4.7 weeks.4.7 weeks x 40 pounds = 188 weeks188 weeks/52 = 3.6 years or 3 years and 7 months.(to lose 40 pounds). Most people want to lose a LOT of weight in a really short period of time, but it's actually a lot more effective to lose just a little bit of weight over a longer period of time because it gives your body a lot of time to adjust to the weight loss and it will be a lot easier to keep that weight off.Anyway, this is how it works in simple terms. The amount of food you eat minus the amount of energy you burn will equal the amount of weight you lose (or gain). If you look up on calories on the internet, or look for the amount of calories in food, you will find thousands of sites that will list the amount of calories in food.A glass of coke (250ml) has roughly 100 calories. So, if you normally drink a coke every day and switch to water you'll have a net loss of 1 pound every 5 weeks. If you add to that walking at a normal pace 1 hour, 3 times a week you burn about 750 calories, (give or take depending on your current body weight). So, by drinking water instead of coke, and walking 3 times a week you would lose about 2 pounds every 5 weeks.HOWEVER.that's assuming that your current diet is niether gaining nor losing calories. If your normal diet is GAINING calories every day, then doing those things would slow down the weight gain by 2 pounds...so if you are gaining 1 pound every 5 weeks and do the above things mentioned, you would really only lose a net of 1 pound per week.WHEW...But, you need to start somewhere!
Genius, depends how many calories you take in too. if you take in 5000 and only burn 750, you are still fat. if you only take in 1200 you are anorexic.
sure 1 calorie 2 calories 3 -4-5-6-7-8-9- wow a lot.
It's not that simple. What do you mean "burn" 750 calories? Do you mean you are eating exactly the same amount, but exercising the equivalent of 750 calories more? Do you mean your physical activity is the same, but you are taking in 750 less calories? Are you getting the right balance of nutrients? Enough, but not too much water? Unfortunately, weight loss/gain is not as simple as just changing caloric intake/output.
it depends on how many calories you are taking in, how much you weigh, your metabolic rate, etc. you need to provide more in-depth information to your question or it can't be answered :o(
There are approx. 3,500 calories in each pound of fat in your body. That means you must burn an EXTRA 3,500 calories to see a reduction in body weight.3,500 cal/pound x 40 cal/week = 140,000 calories needed to be burned.140,000 / 750 cal/week = 187 weeks. That's about 3 and a half years at that exercise level. Try and get out and work out more often to get those calorie levels to about 1,000+ burned per week to see quicker results.
Do you mean 1500 per day? I don't know how in the world you can live on that many a week. What are you doing to burn 750 calories?
If you want to count calories and compare it to what you burn let me introduce you to your new best friend:
